Michelle Belgiorno-Nettis

CHAIR

Michelle is an exhibiting artist and has a BA Fine Arts, BA Honours Japanese and a Master of Commerce. Michelle has a background in corporate communications and extensive experience in the philanthropic sector in Australia, particularly in arts and environmental conservation. Michelle is currently Deputy Chair of the Ngununggula Regional Art Gallery and for 10 years was a Director of the Australian Wildlife Conservancy.

Karen Wann has been a practitioner and advocate of Education and the Arts for over 30 years. Karen has a B. Education and History. She has a wide experience in classroom practice and an understanding of the relevance of tertiary education in the Arts. Karen has been a member of the Foundation since 2002.

Charles Lloyd Jones is a Retail Consultant, having worked extensively in department, speciality stores and luxury goods across Australia, Asia and USA.
He is experienced as a company Director in listed Australian businesses.
He joined the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation in 2009.

Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW; GradDip (Public Relations); GAICD
Sue has been the Treasurer of the Art Gallery Society of NSW since 2019. She is a life member of the Tamarama Surf Lifesaving Club, an involvement that began in 2002. She held the role of Director and Honorary Secretary of the Alliance Française de Sydney from 2003 to 2007.
She runs the business writing consultancy, Written Advantage.

Paula is currently Vice President, Art Gallery Society of AGNSW (since 2015); Chair, S H Ervin Gallery Advisory Committee (since 2010); Art Director of the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation (since 2011). Formerly Managing Director of the Biennale of Sydney; Director of the Art Gallery of WA; Project Manager, Australia Council; International Exhibition Manager, Australian Gallery Director’s Council. Former roles in the not-for-profit sector: the Australian American Fulbright Commission; the VACB of Australia Council; the Alliance Francaise de Sydney. Awarded a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres (2005).
Bill Neil

Bill Neil

SECRETARY

Bill began his accounting career in 1967 and has worked in Vanuatu, Canada and Australia. Bill joined Frank Clune & Son in 1982. He assists corporate and individual clients with audit, taxation, wealth building and risk management services.
Bill is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Taxation Institute of Australia, and a member of the Securities Institute of Australia and the Financial Planning Association. Bill is married with six children and loves sailing and golf.
