There are over 1000 works by William Dobell in the Art Gallery of NSW permanent collection. A number were gifted or purchased with the assistance of the Dobell Art Foundation.
AGNSW. Dobell Australian Drawing Biennial
Curated by the Art Gallery of NSW and funded by the Dobell Foundation this is a themed, invitational exhibition that showcases contemporary drawing from around Australia. It is held every two years in the alternate year to the Dobell Drawing Prize.

National Art School: The Dobell Year 11 Drawing School and Teachers’ Regional workshops
The Dobell School was initiated in 1988 by the National Art School and the Curriculum Support and Performing Arts Units of the NSW Department of Education and Training (DET). It is generously sponsored by the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation.
ART EXPRESS
ART EXPRESS is an annual series of exhibitions of exemplary artworks created by New South Wales visual arts students for the Higher School Certificate examination. In its early stages the Dobell Art Foundation was a founding sponsor of this exhibition.

DOBELL HOUSE
Situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie is the Nation Heritage listed Dobell House, the home and studio of the late Sir William Dobell, one of Australia’s most famous painters. The home and its contents offer a unique experience of the life and work of Wangi’s “Gentle Genius”, Bill Dobell.
